Democratic congressional candidate Jamee Decio will host a public town hall on Friday, July 10, inviting residents from across Indiana’s Second District to participate in an open conversation about the issues affecting their families, communities, and future. The event will be held on the second floor above The Electric Brew, at 118 East Washington Street in downtown Goshen. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the program will run from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Attendees should enter through the front entrance located between The Electric Brew and Ignition Music Garage, where campaign volunteers will be available to direct guests upstairs. The meeting space is located one flight of stairs above street level and is not wheelchair accessible, as there is no elevator. The campaign recognizes this challenge and will soon host more accessible events across the district.
Guests are encouraged to arrive early. The Electric Brew will remain open until 6 p.m., allowing attendees to purchase refreshments or food before the discussion begins, and complimentary bottled water will be available throughout the evening. Rather than a traditional campaign speech, the event is designed as a true community conversation.
Attendees will be invited to submit written questions upon arrival, and a moderator will present questions throughout the evening to ensure a broad range of topics are addressed respectfully and efficiently.

“Hoosiers deserve leaders who don’t just ramp up their social media accounts a few months before an election to ask for their vote every two years—they deserve leaders who show up at town halls, meet with the people, listen, and answer questions every chance they can get and whenever they are able,” said Decio. “Town halls are one of the most important responsibilities of anyone seeking public office. If I expect people to trust me with their vote, then I have a responsibility to earn that trust by listening to their concerns and having honest conversations about the issues that matter most.”
Throughout her campaign, Decio has emphasized that accessibility and accountability are central to the kind of leadership she hopes to bring to Congress. At a time when many voters have expressed frustration over the limited opportunities to engage directly with elected officials, Decio says regular town halls should be a fundamental part of public service.
“I don’t believe representation begins after Election Day,” she said. “It begins now. It begins by meeting people where they are, hearing from them directly, and making sure every voice has an opportunity to be heard. Whether someone agrees with me or disagrees with me, they deserve the chance to ask questions and receive honest answers.”
The Goshen event is the first in a series of town halls planned throughout Indiana’s Second District as Decio continues meeting with residents about affordability, healthcare, housing, public education, manufacturing, energy costs, and protecting democratic institutions.

A former attorney, deputy prosecutor, legislative aide on the House Banking Subcommittee on Consumer Affairs, and longtime advocate for children and families, Decio—who will announce additional town hall events throughout the district in the coming weeks—is campaigning on a platform focused on lowering the cost of living, strengthening healthcare access, supporting domestic manufacturing, protecting public education, defending democracy, and ensuring that the people of Indiana’s Second District have a representative who is present, responsive, and accountable.
“We all come from different backgrounds and hold different political views,” Decio said. “But most of us want the same basic things: affordable healthcare, good jobs, safe communities, quality schools, and the opportunity to build a better future for our families. Those conversations begin when leaders are willing to show up and listen.”
